Phew! We FINALLY got our summer bucket list made! I was beginning to think it would never happen. It started as random conversation one night over dinner and kept going from there. Before you knew it we had our summer bucket list! It ended up being a fun family evening brainstorming all the things we wanted to do over the summer.
I know everyone does their summer bucket list a little differently. Ours is a mix of both things we have done in past summers that we love and want to make sure we do again (like get ice cream and go the park) and things we have never done before. I'm sure it will be fun to look back at the end of the summer and see what we've accomplished. We have a whole host of events and day trips planned that are already on the calendar so we reserved our bucket list for the littler things that really didn't need to be scheduled. This way when the kids are bored and looking for something to do with can pick something off the list. The is the first year we've ever formalized a summer bucket list and I must say it's been fun to see how much the kiddos are into it.
So, in case you were wondering.... Here's a little of what we will be up to this summer ;)
- play at a splash pad
- play tennis
- pick strawberries
- roast marshmallows
- play mini golf
- get ice cream from the ice cream truck
- pick blueberries
- go to a driving range
- have movie night
- go bowling
- get slush puppies
- walk the Freedom Trail
- go to the pinball arcade
- have a water gun fight
- cook hot dogs over a fire
- build a sandbox
- fly a kite
- have an outdoor scavenger hunt
- build a lemonade stand
- go to a pool
- go to the beach
- eat outside
- walk to the park
- go fishing
- birdwatch
- go boating
- make homemade popsicles
- star gazing
- splat painting
- make a giant water bag for the back yard
- play with ice
- make smoothies
- play frisbee
- have a car wash
- go geocaching
- play on the slip and slide with shaving cream
- make sponge water bombs
- make a balance board
- blow up a balloon on a bottle
- go to an amusement park

I think we might make a bucket list this summer. and decorate an actual bucket to keep it in. thanks for the inspiration!
